Formado em Museologia em St. Etienne (França), Carlos Alves sente-se como um produto profissional do Estado. Teve uma experiência inovadora em Aix-En-Pce mas depois viajou e fez tudo e mais uma coisa antes de chegar a Lisboa onde decidiu voltar à sua primeira qualificação mas sem museus e com o Castelo D’If!
With a degree in Museology from St. Etienne (France), Carlos Alves feels he is a professional State product. He had an innovative experience in Aix-en-Provence but later traveled and did all sorts of things before arriving in Lisbon, where he decided to go back to his first qualification, but without museums and with the Castelo D’If!
Carlos Alves tem um Mestrado em Museologia. Teve a sorte de trabalhar num projeto inovador em Aix-en-Provence em 1997. Os objetivos eram trazer estudantes aos museus e decidiram abri-los à noite com abordagens artísticas diferentes (Música, Teatro, Dança, Curadoria). Este evento tornou-se internacional. Agora, está em Lisboa, onde desenvolve Estúdios Visuais Abertos todos os anos com intercâmbios internacionais. Com o trabalho de caridade “Castelo D’if”, decidiram desafiar-se a trabalhar sem espaço físico. A piada é que ele pensa que consegue um trabalho melhor sem trabalhar num museu ou numa instituição cultural.
Carlos Alves has a Museology Master. He was lucky to work in an innovating project in Aix-en-Provence in 1997. The goals were bringing student into museums and they decided to open them by night with all different artistic approaches (Music, Theatre, Dance, Curatorship). This event became international. Now, he is in Lisbon where he developed visual open studios every year, with international exchanges. With its charity “Castelo D’If”, they challenged themselves to work without a physical space. The joke is that he thinks that he does a better job without working in museum or cultural institution.

Catarina Laranjeiro estudou Psicologia. Mais tarde começou a navegar na Fotografia, na Antropologia e no Vídeo. Anda a tentar juntar tudo num projeto sobre fotografia, memória e guerra colonial.
Catarina Laranjeiro studied Psychology. Later, she started navigating in Photography, Anthropology and Video. She is trying to put it all together in a project on photography, memory and colonial war.
A minha proposta de investigação é sobre fotografias de guerra. Sobre fotografias que antigos combatentes e guerrilheiros guardam da guerra e sobre as histórias que as fotografias congelam e transportam. Sobre o que as fotografias revelam e sobre o que escondem. Estes três homens pertencem a três diferentes frentes de uma mesma guerra. E eu quero ouvir as histórias que cada um tem para contar.
My investigation proposition is on war photographies. On photographies that war veterans guerrila fighters keep from the war and the stories these pictures freeze and carry. On what they reveal and what they conceal. These three men belong to three different fronts of one same war. And I want to listen to the stories each of them has to tell.

Panx é um estudante de Mestrado em Realização de Cinema Documental. A sua paixão pela realização nasceu da sua necessidade de pagar as propinas da faculdade e, claro, a renda de casa.
Panx is a Master’s student of Documentary Film Making.
His passion for Film Making started from the need to pay his college tuition fees and, of course, the rent.
“In Bloom” é uma apresentação de cinco curtas metragens por um estudante Erasmus de Filme Documental. “Tonight I Can Write the Saddest Lines” and “If You Forget Me” são ambos interpretações visuais da poesia de Pablo Neruda, inspirados no filme “Il Postino”. Ambos os filmes são a aplicação submetida por Panx para a sua bolsa Erasmus.
“FIlipinos, Tiago” e “In Bloom” são pequenos projetos documentais feitos em Lisboa enquanto Panx aqui estudava por um semestre em 2012-13.
Nestes projetos, foi possível uma análise e reflexão sobre Cinema Independente de baixo orçamento.
“In Bloom” is a presentation of five short films by an Erasmus documentary film student.
“Tonight I Can Write the Saddest Lines” and “If You Forget Me” are both visual interpretations of Pablo Neruda’s poetry as inspired by the film “Il Postino”. Both films were the application submission by the presenter for his Erasmus scholarship.
“Filipinos, Tiago” and “In Bloom” are short documentary projects made in Lisbon while the presenter was studying there for one semester in 2012-2013.
In these projects, analysis and reflections on low budget, Independent Film Making was possible.
