Apaixonada por movimentos criativos, abraçou diplomas em design industrial, fotografia, macrobiótica, escrita criativa, desenho, clown, dança,… uma mistura de valências que usa para criar contextos em que autenticidade e sabedoria internas possam ser reconhecidas, aplicadas e ampliadas.

In love by creative movements, she embraced qualifications in industrial design, photography, macrobiotics, creative writing, drawing, clown and dance, is this mixture of facets that she uses to create context in which the authenticity and internal wisdom can be recognized, applied and enlarged.

Matilde Campilho nasceu em Lisboa em 1982. De 2010 a 2013 viveu no Rio de Janeiro, onde volta recorrentemente. O seu primeiro livro — "Jóquei" — foi publicado em Portugal em abril de 2014. O "Jóquei" foi feito durante muitos verões e uns quantos invernos. Foi feito dentro de salas, nalguns cafés, foi feito em 12 ou 13 praias, em bares de matraquilhos, perto de algumas árvores e perto da língua. Uma língua feita de trajetos e travessias. Matilde Campilho acredita que a poesia é feita de atravessar. E que quem atravessa alguma coisa, está quase sempre a atravessar o fogo.

Matilde Campilho was born in Lisbon in 1982. From 2010 to 2013 she lived in Rio de Janeiro, where she goes back repeatedly. Her first book — "Jóquei" — was published in Portugal in April 2014. "Jóquei" was made during many summers and some winters. It was written in several rooms, in some cafes, and in 12 or 13 beaches, in bars with football tables, near some trees and near the language. A language made by paths and crossings. Matilde Campilho believes that poetry is made to cross. And that anyone who goes through something, is almost always going through the fire.

West Coast é um coletivo fundado em 2014 por Francisco Pinheiro e Luísa Salvador. Todas as luas cheias, West Coast partilha uma entrevista a um artista, investigador, ambientalista ou outros convidados, discutindo diferentes tópicos desde arte a temas da atualidade. Tendo como propósito identificar o que poderá ser uma linha costeira sem fronteiras, West Coast cria também projetos em correspondência com diferentes regiões costeiras de todo o mundo.

West Coast is an art collective founded in 2014 by Francisco Pinheiro and Luísa Salvador. Every full moon, West Coast shares an interview with an artist, researcher, environmentalist or other guests to reflect about art and other current issues. It creates projects in correspondence with different coastal regions around the world, understanding and identifying a possible shoreline identity.
