Artist’s Book: A Medium for Creative Exploration
Inês Almeida nasceu em 1986 e reside em Lisboa. Em 2008 terminou a Licenciatura em Escultura pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa e em 2012 o Mestrado de Ensino das Artes Visuais. Trabalhou como guia em galerias e como Professora de Educação Tecnológica. Atualmente é formadora de workshops e oficinas.
Inês Almeida was born in 1986 and lives in Lisbon. In 2008, she finished her studies in Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in the University of Lisbon and, in 2012, got her Master’s degree in Visual Arts Teaching. She has worked as a guide in galleries and as a teacher of Technological Education. She currently teaches workshops.
O projeto pedagógico desenvolvido acolhe o Livro de Artista como ferramenta que estimula competências criativas. A pluralidade de resultados obtidos atesta à perspetiva Duchampiana: “É um Livro de Artista se o artista o fez ou se o artista diz que é.”. Foram colocadas diversas questões, confirmando-se um leque de possibilidades tanto ao nível dos conteúdos como na tónica formal.
This pedagogical project adopts the Artist’s Book as a tool that stimulates creative competences. the plurality of results is proof of the Duchampian perspective “It is an Artist Book if the artist has made it or if the artist say he is.”. Several questions have been posed, and an array of possibilities, regarding contents as much as formality were confirmed.

Teresa Gameiro, designer de moda. Palavras como desperdícios têxteis, texturas, criatividade, linhas, moldes, produção de moda, reciclagem, artesanato, são algumas das palavras que acompanham a vida desta designer. Neste momento tem como objeto de estudo os desperdícios têxteis.
Teresa Gameiro, fashion designer. Words like textile waste, textures, creativity, threads, molds, fashion production, recycling, craftsmanship are some of the words that accompany the life of this designer. At the moment, her object of study is Textile Waste.
Durante a Conversa, os presentes tiveram contacto direto com tecidos recolhidos no âmbito de dois projetos de Teresa Gameiro nas marcas “Barena Venezia” (Itália) e “CHIcoração” (Portugal). Trocaram-se impressões sobre feltragem e tecelagem, processos envolvidos na investigação atual da designer sobre desperdícios têxteis.
During the Conversa, those present were in direct contact with garments gathered from two projects from Teresa Gameiro, in the brands “BArena Venezia” (Italy) and “CHIcoração” (Portugal). Impressions were exchanged about felting and weaving, two processes involved in the current investigation of the author on textile waste.
