O AfrikPlay é um projeto de estudantes universitários sobre cinema africano contemporâneo. Reconhecendo o poder do cinema para suscitar interrogações sobre realidades e problemáticas que ocupam as ciências sociais, pretende criar um espaço de debate entre o campo académico e o cinematográfico.
AfrikPlay is a project of college students on contemporary African cinema. Recognizing the power of cinema to raise questions about realities and issues that concern the social sciences, it aims to create a space for debate between the academic field and cinema.

A investigação de Gabriel tem como foco o tema da viagem nos autores portugueses Luís Vaz de Camões, Fernando Pessoa e Gonçalo M. Tavares. Na área dos estudos literários não se costuma falar em “pesquisa de campo”, mas nesse caso, o investigador pensa: não seria importante viajar para falar de viagem?
The investigation of Gabriel focuses on the theme of travel in Portuguese authors Luís Vaz de Camões, Fernando Pessoa and Gonçalo M. Tavares. In the area of literary studies, it is not customary to speak of “field research”, but in this case, the researcher thinks, would it not be important to travel to talk about travelling?

O Pedro já experimentou vários tipos de bicicleta : entre BMXs, pasteleiras e bicicletas de montanha. Actualmente tem uma bicicleta de estrada, ou como prefere, “de corrida”. O Pedro já pedalou em várias cidades e continentes, mas confessa, “em nenhum lugar andar de bina é tão fascinante como em Lisboa”.
Pedro has tried several bicycle types: from BMXs, to urban and mountain bikes. He currently owns a road bicycle, or as he prefers, “a racing bike”. Pedro has pedalled in various cities and continents, but he confesses, “nowhere cycling is as fascinating as in Lisbon”.
É impossível andar de bicicleta em Lisboa, dizem. Há quem faça outro retrato, é uma aventura: colina abaixo, slalom nos carris do 28, colina acima, suster a respiração a cada nuvem de escape, serpentear entre calçada, buracos, alcatrão, esgueirar-se de condutores e taxistas selvagens, pedalar, pedalar!
Perplexamente, tão tosco contexto nutre-se do paradoxo em que exótico ainda é o ciclista
People say that is impossible to ride a bike in Lisbon. However there is others who see it in a different way, is mostly of an adventure: downhill, slalom in the 28 tram rails, uphill, hold the breath in any cloud of exhaust, snaking between sidewalk, holes, tar, sneak the drivers and wild taxi drivers, pedaling, pedaling!
Perplexedly, such a crude context feeds on the paradox that the cyclist is still an exotic inhabitant.
