That one which faced the world spinning herself to the sound of mandolins. Psychologist, self-taught photographer, passionate about travelling, cinema and technology. She was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil and she's finally in Europe.
Conversa
O projeto denominado Resiliência cuja ideia era integrar aspectos da psicologia com a fotografia, mais especificamente retratos de mulheres que enfrentaram e superaram o câncer de mama.
Apresentou parte do seu processo de estudo, mostrando tanto as fotografias quanto relatando aspectos observados no processo de realização das fotos, dentre os quais, engajamento, por parte das modelos ao tratamento do câncer, mudança de percepção da auto-imagem, mostrando uma auto-estima mais elevada. Durante a conversa, esclareceu que os objetivos do projeto ainda estavam em estudo, porém relatou o intuito de realizar uma exposição fotográfica com objetivos relacionados a conscientização a cerca do câncer de mama e a sua prevenção.
The project named Resiliência had the main idea of mixing aspects of psychology with photography, most specifically portraits of women that faced and subsisted breast cancer.Morgana presented part of her research process through the final photos and their making of.
Within this images she revealed not only the relationship that the models had with the cancer treatment. but also the moment when they start to realize the changes in their self-image, increasing their self-esteem . Descobre a sua paixão pelo teatro aos 4 anos, numa peça ainda no infantário onde fazia de sol. Aos 18 anos parte para Lisboa à procura de um sonho: ser actriz. Começa no teatro amador de Revista, seguindo-se trabalhos na televisão, teatro e cinema. Vem às Conversas falar sobre uma outra sua paixão: a marcha de São Vicente de quem é a madrinha há já 5 anos.
Melânia discovers her passion for theater in the kindergarten, at the age of 4, when she was playing the role of Sun, in a school play. She comes to Lisbon when she was 18 years old to pursue her dream of being an actress. Her first working experience in Lisbon was in an amateur Revista theater, and afterwards she started in television, theater and cinema. She comes to Conversas to talk about another life passion, the popular parade of São Vicente of which she is the godmother since five years.

Melânia Gomes é, para além de uma cara conhecida na televisão, teatro e cinema, madrinha da marcha de São Vicente há já cinco anos. Na sua Conversa, Melânia não escondeu o orgulho de fazer parte de uma das tradições mais intensas da cidade de Lisboa, contando-nos várias das suas peripécias, tais como a escolha dos padrinhos, a elaboração dos figurinos, os ensaios do coro e coreografias, os nervos que antecedem as actuações ao vivo.

Melânia Gomes, more than a familiar face of the television, theater and cinema, is the godmother of São Vicente parade since five years. During her conversation, Melânia didn’t hide the pride of being part of one of the most intense traditions of Lisbon. She told us several adventures like the nomination of the godfathers, the costumes making of, and all the practices involving choir, choreography and the nerves that precede the live performances.
