O “CONDOMÍNIO” afirma-se como um espaço de apresentação de projetos e propostas inovadoras que sejam representativas da cultura local da cidade de Lisboa, em espaços privados de carácter habitacional. Pretende constituir-se como um fórum de reunião e intervenção independente, alheio a qualquer instituição.
The “CONDOMÍNIO” asserts itself as a space for the presentation of innovative projects and proposals that are representative of the local culture of the city of Lisbon, in private spaces of habitational nature. It aims to be a forum for meeting and independent action, unrelated to any institution.
Conversar é uma das coisas que o CONDOMÍNIO mais gosta de fazer. Se for em espaços habitacionais, ainda melhor. Dias antes da 1ª edição do Festival de Cultura Local em Espaços Habitacionais em Lisboa, os membros da equipa conversaram sobre o conceito, a programação e a organização. Tentou-se cumprir um dos grandes objectivos do projecto: a criação de um espaço de convívio, reunião e partilha.
Chatting is one of the things that, CONDOMÍNIO likes most, and if in dwellings is even better. A few days before the 1st edition of the Lisbon’s Cultural Festival in Domestics spaces, the CONDOMÍNIO team talked about the concept, program and organization. With this participation we tried to accomplish one of the major goals of the project: Providing a space to share, gather and socialize

Manuel Amaral Netto nasceu em Lisboa em 1983 e em 2006, após licenciar-se em Design Industrial pela ESAD-CR, parte para Milão. Passados cinco anos a trabalhar e estudar entre a Holanda e Suíça, regressa à casa de partida. Mais do que um regresso, é uma nova partida ou uma continuação da viagem?
Manuel Amaral Netto was born in Lisbon in 1983 and in 2006, after graduating in Industrial Design from ESAD-CR, goes to Milan. Five years past working and studying between the Netherlands and Switzerland, he returns to his starting point. More than a return, is it a new departure or a continuation of the journey?
Porquê regressar a um Portugal de crise? Passados cincos, a trabalhar e estudar entre Itália, Holanda e Suíça, regressa para contar o que viu mas sobretudo o que vê neste novo regresso. Mais do que um regresso, é uma nova partida ou uma continuação da viagem? A viagem continua, num sítio que parece novo mas ainda carrega alguns estigmas do passado. O desafio está na contínua libertação deles mesmos.
Why return to a Portugal in crises? After five years, working and studying from Italy, Netherlands and Switzerland, Manuel returns not only to talk about what he saw but also to talk about his new return. To him more than a return is a new start, or maybe is just the continuation of this journey? The journey continues in a place that it appears to be new, but in at the same time bears some past stigmas.The challenge now is in the continuous release of them.

Martinho Pita é ser-humano/arquiteto/designer/artista residente em Lisboa.
Licenciou-se em Arquitetura pela ECA (Edinburgh College of Art) em 2007 e trabalhou em vários projetos e ateliers de arquitetura pelo Mundo, como MVRDV (Roterdão) ou Urbanouveau. Neste último trabalhou no desenvolvimento e implementação de estratégias sociais interativas em países como India, Suécia e mais recentemente em Portugal na Cova do Vapor e Terras Da Costa.
“Bichos” é a sua primeira aventura em design de produto.
Martinho Pita is a based Lisbon human-being/architect/designer/artist.
Graduated with a degree in Architecture from ECA (Edinburgh College of Art) in 2007, have worked in several projects and offices around the world such as MVRDV (Rotterdam) and Urbanouveau. During the latter he worked on the development and implementation of social strategies in India, Sweden and more recently in Portugal at Cova do Vapor and Terras da Costa.
“Bichos” is his first adventure in the product design world.
Toda a dinâmica nasce da complementaridade entre pólos opostos.
“Mãos na Massa” fala do processo dual no meu trabalho, processo esse que se estende entre o meu estúdio no campo (Proença-a-Velha) e estúdio na cidade (Lisboa).
“Bichos”, o meu primeiro projecto a solo, são objectos escultóricos funcionais que passeiam entre arte e design.
São o fruto da ponte entre a natureza e o artificial, o orgânico e o geométrico, o dia e a noite, entre eu e tu, onde não sou eu nem és tu mas algo de intermédio, é nesse lugar onde tudo nasce.
No campo é onde lhes dou forma, a cidade onde lhes dou vida!
Every dynamic starts from the complementarity between opposite poles.
“Mãos na Massa” talks about the dual process of my work which extends itself between my the countryside studio (Proença-a-Velha) and my city studio (Lisbon).
“Bichos”, my first solo project, are functional sculptures walking between art and design.
They are a result of a bridge between nature and artificial; organic and geometric; day and night; me and you where is neither me nor you but something in between, that is the place where everything is born.
The countryside is where i shape them, the city where i bring them to life.
