Culture at the Wall Association
A “Associação Cultura no Muro” tem como objetivo dinamizar a oferta de atividades culturais na Parede e arredores, promovendo a criação artística e cultural. Enquanto grupo, acredita-se que se pode e deve ter mais opções artísticas e culturais na área, respondendo aos interesses e às necessidades da comunidade e preenchendo as lacunas da agenda cultural local.
“Associação Cultura no Muro” (Culture at the Wall Association) has the goal of boosting the cultural activities in Parede and its surroundings, promoting the cultural and artistic creation. As a group it is believed that it is possible and that there should be more artistic and cultural options in the area, responding to the interests and needs of the community and by filling in the gaps of the local cultural agenda.
A “Cultura no Muro” surge da necessidade sentida por um grupo de amigos em despertar consciências. Formalizámos o nosso grupo enquanto associação em 2012 com o intuito de desenvolver um centro cultural aberto à noite, projeto vencedor do “Orçamento Participativo” de Cascais. Enquanto aguardamos por uma sede, temos realizado diversas atividades em espaços públicos, em colaboração com espaços existentes, ou mesmo apostando na revitalização de zonas abandonadas.
“Culture at the Wall” comes from the need a group of friends felt to raise the level of consciousness. We finished the formal process and became an association in 2012, aiming to develop a cultural centre that would open at night, a winning project for the “Participatory Budget” of the city of Cascais. While waiting for our head quarters, we’ve put together several activities in public spaces, in collaboration with existing spaces, or even betting on revitalizing abandoned areas.

Biscateiro gráfico
Residente em Lisboa há 1 semana, faz biscates nas áreas de Design, Fotografia e Vídeo desde 2006. O Design veio primeiro, depois a Fotografia e mais tarde (acidentalmente) o Vídeo. Foi 3 ou 4 vezes emigrante por acaso, mas acha que está de volta.
Living in Lisbon for a week now, he does casual, temporary, odd works in the field of Design, Photography and Video since 2006. Design came first, then photography and later (and accidentally) video. He was three or four times an immigrant by chance, but he thinks he is back.
Apresentou uma retrospetiva do seu trabalho criativo, a partir do final do curso, passando pelas peripécias da vida e trabalho fora de Portugal até chegar aos biscates mais recentes, tendencialmente em suporte vídeo. O último vídeo-clip da música “Darkest Night” de Moullinex foi apresentado em estreia nas Conversas.
Sílvio presented a retrospective of his creative work, from the end of his studies, through the intricacies of life and work away from Portugal to his most recent jobs, with a tendency for video. His last video clip for the song “Darkest Night”, from the band Moullinex was premiered at Conversas.

Portuguese Music Enjoying Itself
Enquanto viaja por Portugal e recolhe músicas e sons de instrumentos musicais, Tiago Pereira tem desenvolvido uma base de dados de conhecimento que tem passado de geração em geração através dos significados da Música. Se este conhecimento não for guardado em formato digital, será perdido. O Tiago não está muito interessado em preservar a cultura tal como ela é, mas prefere reinterpretá-la.
Travelling across Portugal while capturing songs and instrument playing, Tiago Pereira has been developing a database of knowledge that has been passed on from one generation to another by musical means. If not kept on digital format, this knowledge would eventually be lost. Tiago is not so much interested in preserving culture as it is, but rather to reinterpret it.
“A Música Portuguesa a Gostar Dela Própria” é um projeto de Tiago Pereira iniciado a 16 de janeiro de 2011. Assumiu-se o compromisso de filmar 5 projetos musicais por semana e criar um espólio de Música Portuguesa, visitável através da internet.
“Portuguese Music Enjoying Itself” is a project of Tiago Pereira started in January 16th of 2011. It was assumed the commitment to shoot five musical projects per week and create a collection of Portuguese Music, visitable through the internet.
