Para Paulo Velho, formado em Engenharia Física e, neste momento, estudante de Doutoramento em Física Nuclear, este é um pensamento a que recorre deste muito novo. Porque é o céu azul? É a curiosidade permanente pelo que o rodeia, que o motiva e o torna um apaixonado pela Física. Paulo vive na Lua, a pensar nas estrelas…
“God does not play dice with the Universe”. For Paulo, who holds a degree in Physics Engineering and at the moment is attending a PhD in Nuclear Physics, this is a line of thought that he employs frequently.
Why is the sky blue? It is a permanent curiosity that surrounds and motivates him in the direction of
Physics. Paulo lives in the Moon thinking of the stars…

Education in the urban space
Quando for grande quero ser pintora e designer – dizia com quatro anos. Para além de não ter passado do metro e meio, não foi bem nisso que se tornou, mas continua com muitas ideias. A Educação entrou na sua vida à experiência mas com intuitos de ficar. Entre as aulas de Expressão Plástica a futuros Educadores e o Mestrado em Arte e Educação descobriu o Projeto: Building the Education City, que a levou recentemente à Suécia.
When I grow up I want to be a painter and a designer – she said when she was four years old. Besides not growing past 1.50 meters, I didn’t become quite that, but I still have a lot of ideas. Education entered my life unexpectedly, but with the intention to stay. Between the art lessons to future educators and the Master in Art and Education I discovered the Project: Building the Education City, which took me to Sweden recently.
O Programa Intensivo “Building the Education City” reúne alunos e professores de três instituições de ensino superior na área da Educação provenientes de Portugal, Suécia e Itália. Funciona como espaço e tempo de reflexão sobre o lugar da criança na sociedade contemporânea e do educador/professor enquanto mediador da relação desta com o espaço urbano.
The intensive program “Building the Education City” gathers some students and teachers of three academic institutions in the field of the Education, from Portugal, Sweden, and Italy. It works as a space and time of thought about the place of children in contemporary society and of the educator/professor as a mediator of this relation with the urban space.
